Collaboration

Building bridges for ageing research across countries

GNARC fosters collaboration between researchers, older people, community organisations and policymakers — and welcomes partnerships that advance ageing research relating to China and Chinese populations worldwide.

Research Collaboration

We support joint projects, symposia and knowledge exchange that connect teams across China and the world — as with the Joint China–UK Symposium on Ageing and Health, which brought together Fudan University, Shandong University and the University of Manchester.

  • Co-hosted symposia and joint webinars with partner institutions.
  • Cross-country collaboration on healthcare and long-term care for older adults.
  • Interdisciplinary networking across sociology, gerontology, public health and policy.

Visiting Scholars

GNARC welcomes visiting research teams and scholars whose work engages with ageing in China and among Chinese populations.

Recent visits include research teams from Fudan University and Shandong University hosted at the University of Manchester. If you are interested in a visit or exchange, please get in touch with the network lead.
